when moments linger
a journey of tea in haiku
i lift the vessle
to my lips, two grateful hands
and drink it in, awe
sat for my first formal tea ceremony
four weeks ago
and the imprint has yet to leave
me, and now
i cannot unsee
cannot unfeel
the beauty
the dissolving of haste
the warmth, the softening
the sweet settling
of it all,
the journey complete
and just beginning

such a gift to read this
